Perhaps your child is having difficulties in any of the following areas:
- Emotional difficulties?
- Behavioural difficulties?
- Learning difficulties?
- Low self esteem?
- Loss, separation?
My name is Jennie Clarke and I am a qualified and experienced play therapist. I can help your child to work through their difficulties and build confidence, resilience and well-being, using their most natural means of communication, which is play . I provide a safe, confidential space for your child and by building a trusting therapeutic relationship, your child will be free to express their feelings and ‘play it better.’ By being attuned to your child’s play I can understand how they are feeling and support them as the work towards a new way of being.
With over 1000 hours of clinical practice I am experienced in working with children from a wide background, with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, low self esteem, aggression, trauma, learning disabilities, separation, domestic violence, abuse, foster care. I have worked with children between the ages of three and sixteen, from many different cultures, including children with little or no English (play is a universal language).
I am based in East Galway City, in the Liosbán Industrial Estate.
